The Kings Road to the Cotswolds

After contacting us via our website, we understood our clients desire to relocate from their current property in central London to a pretty market town, was a lifestyle choice to embrace community living and a more relaxed pace of life. The decision was significant and came with a clear vision of the ideal home, which would require balancing personal preferences with practical considerations for the future.

The ideal property would be in a private location, not overlooked, and walkable to local amenities, cafes, restaurants and shops, allowing our clients to be part of a community. Any style except thatch would be considered with emphasis on properties of architectural merit , or ones which could be modified to meet this requirement.

The garden needed to be private, south facing and up to approximately one acre, with outbuildings for storage and a large garage or workshop to restore classic motorcycles. 

How we Helped

We worked closely with our clients to build a clear picture of their perfect property and from there identified key search areas.  We undertook a vast search covering market towns across Hampshire, Wiltshire, West Sussex and Surrey.  After introducing our clients to a number of potentially suitable options, a property became available outside of the main search area which our clients fell in love with. 

Having identified this property as their ideal choice, we handled negotiations, helping to secure the property below the agent’s guide price. 

Over the next few weeks, and to facilitate a smooth transaction, we acted as the main liaison between all parties and introduced a Chartered Surveyor from our professional network to undertake a Building Survey. 

The value of our pre-completion checks came to the fore, identifying missing items that were meant to remain and ensuring they were addressed before the transaction was finalised. 

Our clients are now happily settled in their new home, enjoying the privacy and contemporary elegance of their award winning property, together with the sense of community they sought. We are delighted to have played a pivotal role in this major life transition, and provided our clients with the guidance and support to achieve a successful outcome.
