Having built a trusted relationship with our client over the past 20 years supporting them through several property transactions, we were thrilled to be retained once again, this time to help them find their forever home.

Over the course of several months, we met regularly to discuss timing, market trends, and their evolving needs. In February 2025, they felt ready to make the move.

The brief was clear yet ambitious: a characterful property with a contemporary touch, set in a minimum of seven acres. The location needed to offer privacy and seclusion, ideally not overlooked by neighbours, but still part of a welcoming community. Proximity to their current home was key, as was an easy commute to their local school, office, and the city. Bonus features included a self-contained annexe, ample space for entertaining, and ideally, a local pub within walking distance.

How We Helped

Once the ideal location was agreed upon, we previewed a select number of properties before discovering what could only be described as a hidden gem. Nestled at the end of a quiet lane, with sweeping distant views and beautifully designed gardens and grounds by renowned landscape designer Gertrude Jekyll, the property ticked nearly every box on our client’s wish list (including a balcony).

Acting swiftly, we accompanied our clients to the property where it was immediately clear it was the perfect fit. With competition for such a generational home we moved quickly to negotiate favourable terms and successfully secured the house. Our clients were absolutely thrilled.

Working closely with the selling agent we coordinated the next steps by introducing a trusted solicitor, chartered surveyor and private client insurance broker, facilitating a smooth transaction which from preview to completion took less than three months. Post-purchase, we continue to assist by introducing an architect who is now collaborating with our client on their future plans for their new home.
